Here are some interesting things to share with you:

Occupy Wall Street, going into its 2nd month. "Curiosity" drove me down there to take a look, "shock and disbelief" drove me away from the place afterwards. While I admire freedom in all its forms, I'm just not quite sure what was it I witnessed.

Third stop of the NTU71 Reunion trip is Sydney, Australia. This is Australia's most populous city, and incredibly diverse in culture, entertainment and scenery. We visited the famous Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Hyde Park. Bondi Beach, and rode the cable car at Blue Mountains National Park to see the "Three Sisters", "Echo Point" and historic coal mine.

Second stop of the NTU71 Reunion trip is Melbourne, Australia. This city remains me a lot of Vancouver Canada. We visited the Phillip Island Nature Park to see the Penguin parade, rode the Puffing Billy Steam Train, Shrine of Remembrance, Federation Square and other sites around this beautiful city.

Crater Lake is a caldera lake located in the south-central region of the U.S. state of Oregon. It is the main feature of Crater Lake National Park and famous for its deep blue color and water clarity. The lake partly fills a nearly 2,148 foot (655 m) deep caldera that was formed around 7,700 years ago by the collapse of Mount Mazama.

The Angels let their bats and pitching do the talking in the Big Apple. Erick Aybar's bases-clearing triple and Vernon Wells' three RBIs backed Tyler Chatwood, who kept the Mets guessing at the plate for seven scoreless frames. Mets scored 3 in the 9th but WAY too little too late.

Participated in the EMC Forum in Hong Kong. This is the largest IT event in HK, and an opportunity for EMC to demonstrate new products and solutions to this super high growth region. I was invited to come and present our HPDA solutions in various sessions, and to discuss with key strategic customers in the focus of EMC in this area. A very well organized event and I enjoyed it very much.

Our mentor school close out event at Central Park. This is our last event before the students go on their summer break (geez, I haven't had one since after high school!). This time it was extra special cuz all the mentees prepared a personalized gift for their mentors! The teachers and students really put some effort into this one. I also discovered Gabby has a real talent for photography! Half of the album was actually her work. I have a little apprentice from now on. =)

We launched our new High Performance Data Analytics solution at the A-Team event. The theme here is "Data Management for Risk, Analytics and Valuations", precisely what we designed HPDA to be as a platform. We had very good traffic during the day, and the diagram I created got a lot of mileage as we practically used it all day to explain HPDA's concept to journalists and customers alike. Great event! EMC World 2011, held at the Venetian Hotel in Vegas. This year more than 8000 customers, partners and employees participated in the event, with The Fray as our featured performer during the event party. It's been 3 years since I came to Vegas, though I missed it a little bit prior to coming, I quickly remembered why I hated staying here... 2nd hand smoke! It's everywhere... on the casino floor where we had to walk by everyday, in the hallways... yuck! At least the room/suite was nice. =)

Yes, the famous Gun Store in Las Vegas. Went to coworker Nigel... and we went for the "Premium Package". Was it fun? ABSOLUTELY! We shot everything from pistols to semi-automatics to fully-auto machine guns. I even got to shoot a Magnum .44! Oh, and the M249 machine gun, sniper rifle, M4, etc. Yup, my shoulder was bruised the next morning, but I definitely got those paper terrorists good. Ha ha!
