Huge fire at Union City, right after Christmas. The blizzard made it difficult for rescue workers to get to the location and put out the fire. It burned probably for a good few hours before dying down.

Our 2nd official event with the Urban Assembly school this year, this time students visited our EMC office for a 3 hour tour. We had an opportunity to give these 9th grade students an understanding how a company functions, and what each of the departments does between sales, marketing, finance, HR and others. These kids are very bright and we had a very interactive session!

Our NY office partners with the Urban Assembly School of Wild life Conservation in the Bronx, where we share activities and active communications between the mentors and mentees. This is the 3rd year for me to participate in the program. I look forward to a fun and exciting school year!

Went to Istanbul last week to host our EMC Banking Summit for the Middle East region. I was the presenter for two sessions and also moderated during the event. Lots of good opportunities in this extremely fast growing region. Had some fun too!

House hunting in Atlanta. Want to invest in another property and looked at a few units in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and others. This one in Johns Creek seems to be a good choice: very decent size, 4 bedrooms, upgraded kitchen, large living room, and fixed up backyard. Think I'm going to take it! =)

Ex-Documentum Happy hour gathering, at The Frying Pan. It's a pretty cool place along the side of the Hudson River, happens to overlook directly at my home building. The weather was beautiful though it got a bit windy later in the evening. Great to catch up with the folks!

Spent a few days in Beijing, and got to visit the Olympics Park, Temple of Heaven, Houhai... but the highlight definitely was being on the Great Wall of China, finally!

A short tour in Shanghai during the World Expo. It's a city rich in culture, both eastern and western, and a good mix between the old and new. I like this city very much, though I was shockingly surprised how expensive everything was.

In Antony Gormley's Event Horizon exhibit between March and Aug 2010, thirty-one life-size body forms of the artist cast in iron and fiberglass inhabited the pathways and sidewalks of historic Madison Square Park, as well as the rooftops of the many architectural treasures that populate New York's vibrant Flatiron District.

At the Warren County Farmer's Fair. It started as a gathering of farmers, mechanics and manufacturers in 1859, and more recently mushroomed into an annual event that include a hot air balloon festival, mud bog, farm exhibits, circus, and plenty of food!

Mud bogging, also known as mud racing, is a form of off-road motorsport popular in Canada and the United States in which the goal is to drive a vehicle through a pit of mud of a set length. Winners are determined by the distance traveled through the pit or, if several vehicles are able to travel the entire length, the time taken to traverse the pit. This one was at the Warren County Farmer's Fair.
