Scavenger hunt at the Bronx Zoo. We got so lucky... it was pouring as we were driving up to the zoo, and immediately stopped for the during we were there! This meant a practically empty zoo, for us to run around to gather clues and enjoy the few animals that were actually out. And wouldn't you know it... it started to rain again as soon as we were done. LUCKY!

Our annual Bring Your Kids to Work day. This year we had 80 kids running around the offic which made the day rather exciting. We decided to make the theme this year on cyber security, and broke into 3 age groups. I hosted the middle age group, from 8-10. I was so surprised to find out how much these kids already know about the surfing the Internet, what to do, and what not to do! I even had a kid (a girl no less!!) talked to me about viruses and trojans and stuff! Kids these days are truly incredible!!

Attended the PENCIL's 2011 Annual Spring Gala. In addition to honoring five outstanding PENCIL Partners and celebrating the incredible work of the mentorship network, the evening also raised just under $1.8 million to support PENCIL's work to transform the NY public schools. My mentee Valdrin got to go on stage to present in front of 800 corporate sponsors. I'm sure it'll be an experience he'll never forget!

Went to check out the Brooklyn Flea, a vintage flea market in the heart of Brooklyn. Such amazing finds! Now I know where the guys from "American Pickers" or "Auction Hunters" sell their "stuff"! You want vintage old stuff? This is the place to be!

Went to London for a short business trip, and had some time to walk around a bit. Snapped a few shots of the Tower Bridge and St Paul's Cathedral at night, and also the Borough Market which was just packed with locals shopping for a variety of cheeses, olives, meats, veggies, seafood and other ready-to-eat munchies.

Our 3nd official event with the Urban Assembly school this year. We played a couple games that required total team cooperation... The Human Knot, where you hold hands with someone (not beside you) in a circle; and The Survivor, where you have to prioritize essentials in a survival scenario. I'm sure the mentors and mentees all learned something new today!

Day trip to Macao, went to visit this old Portugese colony and how much it has changed since the change-over to China. Last time I went there it must've been more than 25 years ago, and much has changed since then, especially all the new casino buildings. It still retained some of the old charms though, with the traditional yellow-white/green-white painted buildings, and wonderful snacks in the narrow alley.
